Director Christensen of the American Association in Taiwan (AIT), accompanied by Director Chiang Zhen-Wei of Chiayi County Government’s Economic Development Department, visited Sunny Rich Group’s technical aquaculture park in Chiayi. The chairman of Sunny Rich Group, Kuei-Kuang Chen, personally received and introduced to them Sunny Rich Group’s development history of fishery-electricity symbiosis and technical aquaculture. He also touched on its construction of a 312 MW large-scale technical aquaculture area with green energy facilities in Yizhu Township, Chiayi County. In addition to the greenhouse SPF non-toxic scientific aquaculture facilities, the park also has patented floating-platform power generation and technical aquaculture systems. In promoting upgrades of the aquaculture industry, it provides landscaping and recreational functions to achieve local revitalization and environment befriending, creating a new circular economy in the aquaculture industry.

Chairman Chen also personally introduced the SPF shrimp technical farming process from breeding for breeding stock, cultivating baby shrimps, to growing shrimps to maturity. Seeing Taiwan has such a high-tech aquaculture company, Director Christensen expressed his deep admiration and agreement. He further praised the white shrimps for their fresh, sweet, and bouncy meat quality after personally tasting them. Director Christensen also visited the aquaculture areas to understand specifically the characteristics and advantages of the Group’s technical aquaculture systems. Both parties are looking forward to further exchanges in the future.
